The elbow is one of the most important joints in the body for a tennis player. It is between the shoulder and the wrist. Pain and discomfort in this area is very debilitating. The objective of this post is not to talk about the normal issues that may arise with the elbow such as tennis elbow (lateral pain) or golfers elbow (medial pain). The goal of this post is to provide you with a series of exercises to strengthen the elbow to limit the likelyhood of pain or discomfort before it arises. It must also be mentioned that elbow related pain, many times is a result of weakness in the shoulder and /or the wrist as well. So it is wise to follow a full upper body training program. See the following exercises and should be performed multiple days per week to help strengthen the muscles around the elbow.

Just remember, that nearly all cases of tennis elbow in tennis players is seen in recreational players with poor technique.
